"Dr. Kingore has presented
to ISACS members at several workshops, and we will certainly
invite her back in the future. Her workshops provide
teachers with practical, hands-on applications and concrete
tools to use when they return to the classroom. Her
presentation style is accessible, humorous, realistic, and
encompasses a range of grade-levels. Her books and other
resources are valuable tools for classroom
teachers!"

"I wanted to say a huge
THANK YOU for such a fantastic two days at Saint Mark's
School! My third grade students are going to benefit greatly
from me being a part of the conference!
We made paper chains on Friday
on a whim... since they took OH so much time to prepare...
hahaha... I tried it! I never knew there were so many ways
to write the number 18. I saw so many brains become active!
I had a bounce in my step all day long!
Once again, thank you for
being such an inspiration to us al!

"I saw Bertie's materials
before I heard her speak, and I thought, 'I've got to go
hear this woman!'"

"I am so excited! You have
truly given me a new lease on life. To go back and face the
staff with your materials will be exhilarating! We have
needs that will now be met because of your thoughtful
insight and generous wisdom. You will be blessed by the
countless number of children you have saved. Thank you for a
terrific two days! I can't wait for the next day we'll spend
with you. You'll always be welcome Back Home Again in
Indiana."

"As a teacher, principal,
and supervisor in a rural school division in Virginia, I can
attest to the value of Bertie Kingore's teaching materials.
After my initial session with Bertie, I began to say,
'Bertie says...' After many sessions through the years, my
ability to teach, to lead, and to supervise has been
enhanced by Bertie's messages. Thank
you, Bertie, for retaining the essence of a classroom
teacher and thank you for being a 'master teacher' to us
all."

"In twenty three years of
teaching, I have never been provided with such a relevant,
exciting, overwhelming, and just plain I'm Glad I'm a
Teacher day. I tried to take notes and ideas as fast as
you could speak. I had to stop note taking just to listen to
ensure I wouldn't miss anything. You made my day, year, and
career! Thank you seems trivial at this point, but, "THANK
YOU!" My students will benefit, and that's what should
happen. You touched many more lives than just mine
yesterday."

"Many of my staff members
recently attended an inservice conducted by Dr. Kingore.
They all came back raving about the many strategies they
took away! "
Felecia Dorsey

"I want to thank you for the
stellar professional development you provided to our staff
yesterday. I have been a principal for 10 years, and during
that time I have arranged countless professional development
opportunities for our staff. I want you to know that I have
never received the emails, notes and words of appreciation
for providing professional development to teachers like I
did yesterday. Teachers who attended the morning training
shared they returned to their classes and tried several of
the strategies. I might add that the emails, notes and
conversations have continued. You helped them to understand
that differentiation instruction could be standards based,
impact student achievement in an engaging way for children,
and could easily be woven into their daily lessons. Today,
our teachers are continuing to share how these strategies
have been integrated into their lessons and the positive
impact they have had."

"We have only heard
wonderful things about the day and your sessions. You have
inspired many, many people at Weatherford. You all are
great!"

"I have been and educator of
gifted children for almost forty years. The more I hear you,
the more convinced I am that you have a special gift for
making your work friendly for use by all educators. Teachers
in the regular classroom, as well as gifted education
professionals, love your presentation and approach. You
inspire confidence in those who need support in their work
to customize levels of instruction, back-up your writing
with authentic and current research, and incorporate
reproducible materials in a clear and effective manner. You
are a "teacher-friendly" teacher!"
Patsy Brown

"Our teachers at Center
Grove Elementary piloted the use of the KOI, and the
teachers have been meeting and sharing information about the
KOI/student work. The conversation between the teachers was
phenomenal! Instead of talking about how many patterns were
accurately sequenced, or how darling the pictures were, the
teachers were digging deeper and analyzing the student
products to see the clues about the children's thinking
processes, perspectives, and whether they were whole to part
or part to whole thinkers. They were so excited about the
qualitative data that they have offered to assist us in
rolling the KOI to all grades, helping us plan the timeline,
and continuing the use of the KOI activities. I left our
last meeting absolutely exhilarated by the teachers'
successes. It is that kind of day that keeps me
going!"
Susan Smith
Greenwood, Indiana
"My husband and I attended
your workshop. Ever since, we have been using more and more
of your strategies! They are already transforming our
teaching and planning. We can't speak enough about how
wonderful your materials are!! After the conference, we
bought 5 more of your books and are already loving them!
Thanks again Bertie for the inspiration!
